I'm a 36-year-old doctor renting out a room in a newly built townhouse near the forest and nature in Allerød. I hope to create a cozy home together with my future roommate. "Ved Skoven" will be part of the new district Teglværkskvarteret, where the focus is on the interplay between indoor and outdoor spaces, nature, and the homes. This area encourages community with room for nature, which is integrated right up to the homes. The homes are developed with thoughtful and flexible floor plans, with functional connections between the rooms. There are four different types of homes ranging from 45-110 m² with one to four rooms. All homes contain the basic rooms: entrance, kitchen, bathroom, and utility room. From the entrance of the home, there is access to the bathroom. Depending on the type of home, you can then move on to the kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. The green common area will be designed with ditches, rainwater basins, paths, playgrounds, recreational areas, and an open lawn for ball games and play. The community house will have a central location between the homes, the green common area, and the path systems. The community house will be 88 m² and can be used for both everyday activities and parties, as well as an informal meeting place for the neighborhood residents. The buildings are primarily constructed with treated wood on the facades, so its organic components are removed, making it highly resistant to rot and fungi. The wood, therefore, requires extremely low maintenance. After about a year, the facade cladding will have a beautiful silver-gray appearance. The first phase is expected to be ready for move-in by August 2024, with the second and final phase planned for move-in by January 2025. Roommate: You will be sharing the house with me, Henrik.
